Forever Living Products South Africa will be packing 60 000 meals with Rise Against Hunger on Saturday, 19 October 2019 in collaboration with Gallagher Convention Centre, Midrand, Gauteng. These meals will feed 230 children five meals a week for an entire year and will be distributed through our ECD connect programme. The key focus of our Results Oriented Nutrition Programme is to assist ECD’s to develop their facility sufficiently to qualify for registration with the Department of Social Development, meeting all the legislative requirements of the Children’s Act. The programme does not foster dependency but empowers the ECD’s which secures their sustainability.
The meals are highly nutritious and comprise of rice, soya, dehydrated vegetable mix and a fortification pack of 23 essential minerals and vitamins specifically formulated to combat malnutrition (complying with the UNICEF standard)
Rise Against Hunger has aligned its goals with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals- specifically Goal Number 2, Zero Hunger by 2030 and will be running a campaign called “This is Possible.” Which we are launching in October 2019.
The meal packaging event is a fun and engaging way for volunteers to be part of the drive to end child hunger.
We thank Gallagher Convention Centre for providing the venue for this Event.
